Richard “Rick” Hoyle
President, XBL Holdings and Affiliates
Rick is the Founder and President of XBL Holdings and its affiliates where he oversees all commercial, financial, and operational activities. In addition to his business roles, he remains active in various national and regional trucking associations and is a recognized leader in dry bulk transportation.Prior to starting XBL, Rick was Senior Vice President of Grammer Logistics where he ran dry bulk operations, and he previously held senior roles at Mack Trucks and Trimac Transport. His transportation and leadership experience includes building Star Trans and Diamond Bulk before. Rick is an entrepreneur who implores customer-centric strategies while promoting a driver focused culture. Rick graduated from Western Carolina University Cullowhee, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Business Management.
Vice President of Strategy
Galen is a Co-Founder of XBL and Vice President Business Development where he is responsible for all strategic and tactical commercial activities. Galen’s depth and breadth of contacts and experience make him a respected voice in dry bulk transport. Prior to XBL, Galen was Director of Business Development for Grammar Logistics.He has previously held senior positions in operations and sales with Lafarge, StarTrans, Trimac Transportation and Grammer Logistics. Galen graduated from Southern New Hampshire University and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Organizational Leadership.
Vice President of Business Development
Randy serves as Vice President of Business Development for XBL and is responsible for developing the company’s sale strategy and providing customers creative solutions that improve their operations and profitability. He has 27 years of transportation experience, with 26 of those years focused on the bulk industry resulting in excellent customer contacts and well-established customer relationships. Prior to joining XBL, he served as Vice President of Business Development for 1845 Commercial Bulk Services, Director of Sales & Operations Consultant for Bay & Bay Transportation, Director of Sales & Operations for J&M Tank Lines, Inc., and National Sales & Operations Manager for Autumn Transport, Inc.Randy holds a Degree in Operations Management from St Cloud State University
Director of Commercial Development
Kenny serves as Director of Business Development for XBL where he is responsible for the development and execution of new commercial opportunities nationwide. He is a hands-on leader who takes ownership of customer relationships through pre-operations including managing site assessments, operational planning, and directing field personnel and managers. Over the course of his career, in various roles of increasing accountability, he has become a valued leader in business growth, account development and operational efficiencies. Prior to joining XBL, Kenny served as National Account Manager for 1845 Commercial Bulk Services.Kenny holds a Degree in Business Administration from The University of Texas Arlington.
Vice President of Operations
Jimmy Tuley holds the position of Vice President of Operations for the family of Xcel Bulk Logistics companies across the US and is responsible for key metrics specific to operational efficiencies, profitability, growth, and sustainability.Prior to Xcel’s asset acquisition, Jimmy served as Vice President of Operations for 1845 Oil Field Services and 1845 Commercial Bulk Services where he managed operations that supported multiple national Oil & Gas service companies. During his 12-year tenure with the 1845 organizations, Jimmy held senior leadership positions in Finance, Recruiting and Field operations. Jimmy’s expertise in transportation covers a broad range of product lines, a command of the equipment utilized within the transportation and energy sectors, and a mastery at front-facing responsibilities with a significant customer base. He is top-notch when it comes to managing “Just in Time” operations across multiple industries, effectively managing inventory, assets, and human capital. Adept at developing strategic initiatives that positively impact the organization and its respective business units, Jimmy’s management skills offer a seamless translation to the operations team. With a passion for people, Jimmy is highly effective at building relationships, motivating, and creating buy-in throughout an organization.
